LAWFF Launches the Leading AgriWomen Voices (LAV) Book to Amplify Women’s Impact in Agriculture

On March 10, 2025, the Leading African Women in Food Fellowship (LAWFF) unveiled a groundbreaking advocacy tool; the Leading AgriWomen Voices (LAV) Book, at its 2025 unveiling event. The book, launched by Ndidi Nwuneli, founder of LAWFF, is a powerful resource designed to amplify women’s voices, reshape narratives, and drive gender-inclusive transformation in Africa’s food and agriculture sector.

A Platform for Women’s Stories and Leadership

The LAV Book captures the experiences, innovations, and leadership journeys of women in agriculture, providing a strategic platform for policy influence, inspiration, and action. Through compelling storytelling and thought leadership, the book aims to:

  • Challenge biases and reshape perceptions about women’s roles in agriculture.
  • Highlight the contributions of women agripreneurs, policymakers, and changemakers.
  • Influence policy reforms that foster gender-inclusive food systems.

Speaking at the launch, Ndidi Nwuneli emphasized the book’s critical role in advocacy and systemic transformation. “There is an urgent need to accelerate action; our stories are powerful catalysts for change. This book is not just a collection of narratives; it is a tool for empowerment, positioning women as key drivers of Africa’s agricultural and economic growth.”

Driving Policy and Sectoral Change

The LAV Book serves as an advocacy resource for government agencies, development organizations, and industry stakeholders committed to advancing gender equality in agriculture. It will be used in training sessions, policy dialogues, and mentorship programs to inspire the next generation of women leaders in the sector.
