The Leading African Women in Food Fellowship is an ambitious program aimed at supporting changemakers who are making outstanding contributions/impact in the African food ecosystem. This initiative amplifies, celebrates, champions, and advances the work of these female food changemakers.
Etimbuk Joseph Imuk is the Founder of Eti Farms Global, a leading agribusiness in Nigeria specializing in organic mushroom cultivation, processing, and distribution. Through the production of NAFDAC-certified mushroom products, Eti Farms Global supplies over 70 supermarkets nationwide, providing a nutritious and sustainable alternative to animal protein.
Driven by a commitment to health, food security, and inclusive growth, Etimbuk’s work has positively impacted the lives of over 7,000 individuals, while creating meaningful employment opportunities for women and youth across the value chain. Her enterprise demonstrates how agribusiness can be both commercially viable and socially impactful.
A strong advocate for capacity building and knowledge transfer, Etimbuk has trained 58 individuals in mushroom farming, equipping them with practical skills that support sustainable livelihoods and entrepreneurship. Her approach prioritizes long-term empowerment and community resilience.
Environmental sustainability is central to her work. Through the recycling of agricultural waste and the promotion of organic farming practices, Eti Farms Global contributes to key Sustainable Development Goals, including Zero Hunger (SDG 2), Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), and Climate Action (SDG 13).
