Jamila Lawal is a multifaceted professional, blending her expertise as a nutritionist, media personality, food entrepreneur, and influencer. She is the charismatic host of the popular television and radio cooking show "Maggi Diaries, " where she showcases the diverse and flavorful dishes inspired by Northern Nigerian cuisine, presenting them in more enticing and nutritious ways.
She has over 7 years of experience working in Public health as a Nutrition Specialist in poor communities where malnutrition is prevalent in women and children. Jamila works with the Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria as a Nutrition consultant.
Jamila holds an MSc in Nutrition an MSc in Nutrition, a Master's in Public Health, and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in nutrition, her research focuses on improving the nutritional status of malnourished adolescents through supplementary feeding using ready-to-use fortified blended foods made from locally grown nutrient-dense food ingredients.
As an advocate for healthy living, Jamila firmly believes that one can embrace a wholesome lifestyle without compromising on taste, food quality, or cultural heritage.
