Oluwatoyin Onigbanjo

Oluwatoyin Onigbanjo is a renowned child nutrition entrepreneur and the visionary behind August Secrets Ltd., a pioneering child nutrition company based in Nigeria. 

Driven by her passion for solving nutrition and food security challenges during the first 1000 days of an African child's life, Toyin is dedicated to developing nutritious and affordable food products and resources sourced from African food crops. 

With a Master's Degree in International Affairs from the University of Lagos and certifications from Stanford University Graduate School of Business (Seed) and Child Nutrition. She is the author of Augustsecrets Meal Plan, a children's recipe book featuring African food ingredients. Toyin combines her academic expertise with practical experience to start Jadens Natural Cereals by Augustsecrets Ltd, which has successfully penetrated over 300 retail outlets in Nigeria, as well as markets in West Africa and North America. 

Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Toyin has received prestigious accolades, such as the Graca Machel Gender Lens Award for child nutrition and women's empowerment in West Africa through the GAIN Alliance Nutripitch Program. Toyin's exceptional accomplishments have earned her recognition as one of Ynaija's Most Inspiring Women in 2018, the Leading Ladies Africa's Most Inspiring Women in 2022, one of Nigeria’s most innovative women entrepreneurs by SME100, the Power Woman Africa List 2021, and the Her Network Woman of the Year 2018. 

August Secrets Ltd. has also been honored with local and global awards, including the Food Safety Award by Royal DSM International in 2018. Her expertise has been sought after by various media outlets, including The Guardian Woman and Business Day. She has also participated in global panels and programs, such as "Accelerating the SDG Goal 2 of ending hunger and malnutrition" in Thailand in 2018. Furthermore, Toyin has contributed to academic literature with her published articles and papers, including 'Curbing Child Malnutrition using Traditional Recipes and Foods' in the Kenyan International Journal of Nutrition & Dietetics.
