Wangari Kuria is the founder and CEO of Farmer on Fire Ltd., an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support to smallholder farmers across Africa. Through her organization, Wangari facilitates connections between established agribusinesses like AGRA, John Deere, Heifer International, and the Ministry of Agriculture, with a vibrant community of over 50,000 smallholder farmers who actively engage with the brand through digital channels. 

Driven by her passion for addressing the challenges faced by vulnerable single mothers in pastoralist communities, particularly in the face of climate change, Wangari has established model farms where she nurtures and incubates these women. These farms focus on the commercial production of mushrooms, BSFLarvae, and Azolla. Wangari also provides training in table banking, empowering the women to embark on their mushroom agribusiness ventures after a three-month incubation period. 

Wangari's remarkable contributions to the field of agriculture and her relentless efforts in policy advocacy, economic empowerment, food security, and creating pathways to markets for produce in Kenya and Africa have garnered her prestigious accolades. She was honored with the 40 under 40 Africa award in South Africa and the Global Citizen Prize in New York. 

Beyond her work, Wangari is a talented author with multiple publications to her name. Her books, including "How to start farming—from small scale to profit-making agribusiness," and "Mushroom farming business: A-Z of making millions in the Industry," provide valuable insights and guidance in agribusiness. 

Wangari holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master's in Business Administration, specializing in Strategic Management, from the United States International University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in agriculture and climate change at the University of Edinburgh.
